Learning Support Assistant

Salary Spine point 5-6 £23,427– £23,850 (actual £20,150 to £20,515)

32.5 hours per week. Term time only for 39 weeks per year

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with our supportive and inclusive team here at St. Leonard’s school.  We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of Learning Support Assistants. The role will involve working closely with class teachers and the school SENCO to support students to enable learning. 

You will specifically be working with a pupil in lower KS2 who has autism, a great sense of humour and a real love for learning.

We require a Learning Support Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30pm, term time only. You will need to be flexible and have excellent inter-personal and communication skills. You will need to demonstrate competence in supporting students within a learning environment to encourage them to achieve and make good progress.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, identity and safeguarding checks and will be probationary for the first 6 months. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
