Developing Trust Leadership
Our Trust is passionate about ensuring that we realise the full ambition of new and potential leaders within our Trust. Developing effective school leadership at all levels has never been more crucial within education and are proud to have shaped an accredited and bespoke leadership development offer. Our accredited leadership training is co-ordinated by one of our experienced Trust Headteachers. All leadership development training is funded centrally by the Trust as we want to ensure that we invest in the leadership development journey of the committed staff that work within our schools. National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership
The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML) supports the professional development of aspiring and serving middle leaders.
Aims of the NPQML programme:
- To develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to be a high-performing middle leader
- To access training that is evidence based and draws upon the latest research
- To work towards receiving accreditation in the National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders
NPQML modules:
Module 1: Introduction to the NPQML
Module 2: Leading and managing innovation and change
Module 3: Managing resources and risks
Module 4: Vision, values and the moral purpose
Module 5: Data analysis for performance and progress
Module 6: Evidence based teaching and learning
Module 7: Leading strategic improvement
Module 8: Developing your leadership approach
Module 9: Building a high performance team
Module 10: Support and challenge – holding yourself and others to account
Module 11: Developing yourself and others
Module 12: Collaboration and partnership
Additional Module: Mental Health First Aid
In addition to these modules, delegates will be expected to complete:
- Self-study intersessional tasks
- Sessions with a school-based coach
- An online engagement with peers and through the SSAT discuss platform
- A workplace learning and improvement project
Leading to the submission of a final written report and, if successful, nationally recognised accreditation from the DfE in gaining the NPQML
