St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School is a large two form entry primary school with its own nursery class and Special Needs Support Centre.

We are looking to appoint a Child, Family and Learning Support Worker who is passionate about securing the best outcomes for all children.

Our new Child, Family and Learning Support Worker will:

  • Champion our vulnerable pupils and raise aspirations and expectations of what they can achieve

  • Identify and address the needs of children and families to help overcome barriers to learning including persistent absence

  • Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and families where social and emotional issues are proving to be barriers to the child’s educational progress

  • Working with children and families to promote emotion resilience

  • Use a therapeutic approach to supporting children to improve their educational outcomes
