Weekend PAT Testing Technician ( Additional Responsibility Opportunity)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from existing premises staff across the Trust who would like to undertake PAT testing work as an additional responsibility alongside their substantive role.
The work will be carried out at weekends across Trust schools and will involve testing portable electrical equipment, maintaining accurate records, and reporting any faulty or non-compliant items.
Key Responsibilities
· Undertake PAT testing of electrical equipment across Trust schools.
· Maintain accurate testing records and documentation.
· Identify and report faulty or non-compliant equipment.
· Work safely and professionally within school environments.
· Travel to designated school sites as required.
Requirements
· PAT Testing qualification or willingness to undertake appropriate training.
· Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Terms
· This is an additional responsibility and does not form part of the employee’s substantive role.
· Work will be undertaken at weekends, subject to agreement and operational need.
· Hours will be allocated on a flexible basis across the Trust.
· Travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with Trust policy.
