St Michael's CofE Primary
We are a one form, Church of England Primary School situated in Welling, within the London Borough of Bexley. We are now also an academy within the Southwark Diocesan Multi Academy Trust.
We have wonderful children, supportive parents and Governors, and a dedicated, hardworking staff who believe that every child is unique and special. They do their utmost to ensure that each and every one of them reaches their full potential.
Within a safe, friendly and caring environment, the children are encouraged to develop their academic, physical, emotional and spiritual capabilities. The ethos and Christian values underpin everything that we do in school. We are truly a ‘family’ school.
Having just seven classes, means that everyone knows everyone; staff, children and their families. The older children ‘buddy up’ with the younger ones, supporting them in the playground, dining hall and around the school if they need it, as well as accompanying them to church and on some joint class outings.
We can honestly say that at St Michael’s the children work, eat, play and pray together!

Our Christian Vision and Values
- To ensure that every child feels valued and knows what it is to be part of a safe, nurturing Christian family, whilst also respecting their individual beliefs.
- To inspire a love of learning through a broad and balanced curriculum, encouraging every child to use their God given talents.
- To work in partnership with home, the church and the wider community, to increase the children’s knowledge and understanding of the world and the part they play in God’s big family.
Loving learning, learning to love – A small school, part of God’s big family
